Generic packing lists include things you don't need and miss things you do. Answer a few quick questions about your type of birth, how you plan to feed, the season, and whether a partner is staying, and the list adapts to match.
Check items as you add them and your progress is saved on this device. When you're ready, print it or save it as a PDF for the fridge, or get our printable copy from the box below.
Having your bag ready by about 36 weeks means one less thing to think about if labor starts sooner than planned. Keep it by the door and enjoy the calm of being prepared.
Aim to have it ready by around 36 weeks, since babies can arrive earlier than expected. Keep it somewhere easy to grab, and leave a short list on top for last-minute items like your phone charger.
Most hospitals supply some basics: pads, mesh underwear, newborn diapers, and a hat and blanket for baby. Bring your own for comfort and for the items they do not provide. What is included varies from place to place.
Many people pack a small labor bag with the things they'll want close by, plus a main bag for the postpartum stay and going home. The generator groups your list so it's easy to split that way.
If a partner is staying, a change of clothes, toiletries, snacks, a pillow, and their own charger make a long stay much more comfortable. Toggle the partner option to add these.
